Maynard collected his second Top Alcohol Dragster win of the season and the second of his young career, defeating world champ Jule Nataas in the final round, Maynard, winner earlier this year in Gainesville, was in the 5.20s on three of four runs in eliminations, including the final where his 5.27 defeated Nataas’ troubled 6.67.
